poem: MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOUR

Fathom a nightingale, with
Colorful plumage, and
Beautiful melody,
Hopping up, down,
In a cage
Adorned with,
Roses, violets, and all

Envision the nightingale with
Banquet of soft grains
Rare fruits and nectar

Picture the cage
Encircled by
Legible suitors
And lustful birds

Lo the nightingale poking fun,
Rendering smiles,
Yet yielding not
But dashing hopes,
Breaking hearts

Behold Cynthia,
The girl next door
A solitary nightingale
A sweet Cinderella

Beautiful Guilt

Familiarity

A woman Scorned
